‘An Exploration into the Ancient Symbolism and Resonance Chambers of Malta.’
This essay explores some of my experiences on the island after visiting a selection of Neolithic sites - including the world's oldest known underground temple, the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum.
It also takes a deeper look into language, the island's ancient cross-cultural symbology and the use of resonance chambers - both natural and man-made.
The title 'Ear of the Sea' (Widnet il-Baħar in Maltese), comes from the name of an endangered coastal plant that is endemic to Malta.
